How does automatic overlap work?
It compares the lower part of one screenshot with the upper part of the next. It removes an area only when the match is strong; otherwise your fallback trim is used.
Is hidden information recoverable?
No. Each black box replaces the underlying pixels in the downloaded image. Keep the original screenshots separately when you need an untouched source.
